The human resource department is one of the significant parts of businesses and organizations. Organizations have a human resource department that is responsible to build a skilled and satisfied workforce in an organization, which helps an organization to its objectives.

Following are 7 major roles that human resource management necessarily plays in an organization:

1. – Recruitment and Hiring

Attracting and keeping the best talent in the industry is the major priority of organizations. The human resource department plays a significant role in hiring the best employees in the company. HR managers and departments help the organization by controlling the recruitment and hiring processes of the company.

First, the HR department works to set the job’s requirements and the candidate’s quality required for the job. They held an interview in which they select the best talent, which fits all requirements of the jobs. They meet with candidates, ask some questions which show the candidate’s brilliance, and check their resume. They verify which candidate is eligible for the job and hire the best from all the applicants.

2. – Provide Training to Employees

The human resource management department also works for the training of employees. They address the skills and training of employees in an organization that is required for their jobs and roles in the company. They give them the necessary tool to develop skills and enhance their skills.

The HR department works to strengthen workers’ skill sets, enhance confidence in using the skills, and enable them to perform their roles efficiently. Training and development of the workforce provide benefits to the company in building a well-trained workforce.

The first of them is that the HR department helps an organization to stop or solve problems and clashes between workers working in the company. Second, they help the company in making and implementing policies, which prevent disputes among workers.

Employment laws are the rules and regulations or legal frameworks that a company makes for employment. The company must work according to these laws. Human resource management helps an organization create laws and ensure compliance with these laws in the organization. These laws help companies to avoid legal issues and complications. It is one of the most significant and complex roles of human resource (HR) management.

6. – Employee’s Compensation and benefits

Human resource management is also responsible to provide compensation and benefits to the workers in the company. Compensation and benefits are given to those employees who performed well. The benefits and compensation motivate workers to perform well which helps an organization enhance the efficiency of workers to get the organizational goals.

The human resource department is also responsible for employee management and payroll in an organization. They develop the HR system, organize employees’ data like name, address, and salaries, and maintain and organize tax records. Some major organizations have payroll teams that work together under the authority of the HR department to maintain the payroll.
