Who wouldn’t love to train a dinosaur and charge around their own theme park keeping them in check? Obviously, it would be somewhat terrifying in real life but fortunately, we aren’t talking about real life but in the brilliant video game Jurassic World Evolution 2. This game has even more parks and is more fun than the previous incarnation. If that still sounds too scary and you like your dinosaurs more contained, UK readers could try out the Jurassic Park slot game, which was developed by Microgaming and features some of the best casino bonuses around. Now you can see that they aren’t so scary after all, take a look at the video game.

The game is a park management simulator developed by Frontier Developments where you create the parks and manage the research facilities within this game set in the Jurassic Park franchise. The dynamics of this game have changed somewhat from the earlier games as the player is now transported into a world that has been shaped by the shattering events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. This means that there are dinosaurs everywhere and humans live alongside them.

In this immersive game, you join the stars of the film including Cabot Finch, Claire Dearing, and Dr Ian Malcolm (voiced by the one and only Jeff Goldblum). You will find yourself working at the Department of Fish and Wildlife. You need to develop a new facility in various locations to conserve, control and contain wild dinosaurs. It is like managing a big game reserve in Africa but for dinosaurs rather than lions, giraffes, and elephants. And as in real life, Government does not always have the best interests of the animals at heart. There are poachers to tackle as well, and you will have your battles cut out with the CIA.  Your role is to always be focused on the best interest of the dinosaurs as you create facilities across the US with varying climate, weather, and geographical challenges.

The game features seventy-five dinos including land, marine, and flying reptile species. As well as new prehistoric species there are brand new behaviors that emerge as the dinosaurs meet each other and humans. You must build enclosures with this in mind as the dinosaurs try to exert their dominance and display new intelligent behavior.

There is also the fun of using bioengineering to create customized dinosaurs with bold colors and patterns. You can alter their genomes to discover new characteristics and ultimately fulfill your quest to create the ultimate dinosaur park. How long the game lasts for does largely depend on how long you take to transport the dinosaurs back to your destination.

And as if that wasn’t all exciting enough the game has a brand-new Chaos Theory mode. This mode puts the player in control of a range of pivotal moments from the movies. It allows you to work through various ‘what if’ scenarios. You could find yourself realizing John Hammond’s dream of having a Tyrannosaurus Rex in the San Diego Park or working with Dr Henry Wu to run your own Jurassic World. This mode immerses you in nostalgia but has an innovative spin at the same time.

If you are a Jurassic Park superfan, this mode of play is the ultimate devotee’s game mode. The Chaos Theory mini-campaigns all vary so much from each other and make you want to go back and watch the movie they relate to all over again. The simulation will make you rediscover the thrills and magic in the most unexpected ways.

For those who are unfamiliar with the earlier films or games, worry not. The gaming experience is complete and requires no earlier knowledge to be a thoroughly enjoyable way to pass some time.  This is strictly a single-player game but with so many campaign and challenge modes to get through, you will have plenty of adventures to talk about on social media when you have completed the game.
